The Bushido Center is a family orientated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts school. We are committed to the bettering of not only our students but our community. We offer classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kick Boxing and Wrestling. We also offer an after school kids program: “Lil’ Samurais”. If you want to train in the fastest growing sport in America whether you're goal is to get into shape or compete, the Bushido Center is the place for you.

This Saturday the Bushido Center’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team coached by Ira Daugherty will be competing in the “LAKE TAHOE CLASSIC” tournament hosted by the Charles Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Truckee/Tahoe. This will be the first tournament that the Bushido Center will compete in as a team.
The competitors will be Ira Daugherty, Andrew Osterlund, Jeremy Sankwich and Randy Densmore in the Adult division and Jackson Daugherty, Toreyano Huber and Jacob Daugherty in the Youth Division. With the exception of Ira and Andrew this will be the first tournament for all the competitors and we wish them all the best of luck!
The Bushido Center would like to thank Paulo Guillobel for his instruction and leadership to our program. Also, a special thanks to Ira Daugherty for his foresight, patience and commitment in developing our program, students, and competition team.

Today Gracie Humaita competitor Paulo Guillobel won the Black Belt Light Master's Division in the World Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championships! He beat out notable black belts including Wander Braga and Peter Sutton from Team Quest to take home the 1st place medal!
The Gracie Humaita competition team also took 1st place overall in the Men's Masters Division and 2nd place overall in the Female Division.

Victory!!
This weekend Ira and Andrew competed for Team Guillobel in the 5thannual South Bay Open.
Ira brought home a Gold medal and Andrew a Silver. Ira fought in championship fashion and came out on top! After dominating his first opponent he went in to a technical battle with another world class
purple belt. In the end Ira won by advantage after seven minutes of intense competition!
Andrew won his first fight via triangle-choke in less than 3 minutes. In the early moments of his second fight Andrew dislocated his wrist but still managed to pull off a decisive10-2 victory. After making it into the finals, he forfeit due to injury and took second out of 16.
Team Bushido congratulates Ira and Andrew for their hard work and devotion to the program.

silver medal at the American Cup! That's 3 medals in a month. Keep
up the hard work Ira!

Standing, his punching combos were crisp and devastating even after breaking his hand in the second round. Dan showed heart and determination throughout the entire fight! Right on DAN-O! This weekend Andrew, Hillary, and
Jackson are road tripping down to Cleber Luciano's 11th Annual Copa
Pacifica (Pacific Cup) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. Ira Daugherty will
be competing in the Purple Belt division at 187. This prestigious
international event will feature athletes from all across the world.
Ira will be bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience along with a
competition intensity that is hard to beat. Good luck Bro! Go Team

Great job Cole!
Congratulations
to Cole Nagy and Adam Smith for putting on a great show at Chico Boxing for
Fitness last Saturday night!
Cole did a great job as he banged out a 3 round decision. Cole had his
opponent in the ropes and backing up the whole fight. In the second round
Cole almost had the finish as he had his opponent pinned in the corner and Cole
landed hard uppercuts and straight lefts until the bell rang to end the round.
Great job Adam!
Adam displayed his Muay Thai and kickboxing experience as he scored a TKO over Jonathan of “The Pit”. Both
Round 2 Adam came out and defended the takedown well and started chopping down
Jonathan with well placed leg kicks. After being dropped with a leg kick,
Jonathan responded with another great takedown. This time Adam swept him,
established full mount and rained down punches until the referee stopped the
fight.
Congratulations
to Adam for putting up a great fight yesterday in
Cole Nagy will be putting on the boxing gloves this Saturday and bangin' it out
for Chico Boxing for Fitness' "Chico Fight Night." Adam will
also be competing in an amateur MMA fight. It is April 12th and the
fights start at 7:00pm. Come support Team Bushido. Contact us for any
