Fights in Paradise!

The town of Paradise, home of Team Bushido was jeopardized by the Humboldt grass fire.  The fires came a little close for most of us.  After 3 days of pre-cautionary evacuations and refugee living the fire was finally controlled and extinguished.  All of us at Team Bushido would like to thank the amazing efforts of the Firefighters (local and abroad), Pilots, EMT, Sheriffs, volunteers, and the numerous unnamed people who fought this fire.

Thank you.

Great job Cole!
Congratulations to Cole Nagy and Adam Smith for putting on a great show at Chico Boxing for Fitness last Saturday night!
Cole did a great job as he banged out a 3 round decision.  Cole had his opponent in the ropes and backing up the whole fight.  In the second round Cole almost had the finish as he had his opponent pinned in the corner and Cole landed hard uppercuts and straight lefts until the bell rang to end the round.

Great job Adam!
Adam displayed his Muay Thai and kickboxing experience as he scored a TKO over Jonathan of “The Pit”.  Both guys showed their heart and competitiveness and represented MMA very well with great sportsmanship and competition. Jonathan won the first round with textbook takedowns while showing he’s not just a wrestler and landed some clean punches standing.  Adam responded with well placed kicks before the round ended.
Round 2 Adam came out and defended the takedown well and started chopping down Jonathan with well placed leg kicks. After being dropped with a leg kick, Jonathan responded with another great takedown.  This time Adam swept him, established full mount and rained down punches until the referee stopped the fight.
